Marie Johnson

Marie Johnson is a social worker and advocate who has spent many years helping women and children recover from abuse, trauma, and emotional pain. Her work is shaped by her own life story, which she shares in her first book “Understanding Betrayal.”

Marie has led workshops across Canada, focusing on essential topics like suicide prevention, violence against women, and the effects of trauma on children. She has spoken at the United Nations and worked with agencies to help bring justice to survivors. Her dedication to helping others has made a difference in many lives.

She is also trained in investigating cases of childhood sexual abuse and has helped hold offenders accountable. Even with the difficult nature of her work, Marie remains hopeful and focused on healing.

Outside of her work, Marie enjoys traveling and continues to offer support through counseling. She believes in the power of truth, kindness, and community. Her goal is to help others feel heard and supported.
